Let’s get to know each other!

Hey! I’m Maggie. I’m 25 years old and I’ve been practicing photography for 8 years now.

I had always loved admiring photography. I use to find myself staring at photos for long periods of time while I analyzed the colors, composition, and the way certain photos would make me feel.

I was 14 when I was at my cousin’s wedding and another cousin (who was a bridesmaid in the wedding) gave me her Canon DSLR camera and asked me to snap a few photos of the ceremony. As soon as I pressed the shutter for the first time I was absolutely hooked. After the wedding I went home and begged my parents for my own camera. A few months later I got my very first DLSR camera (the Nikon D3200) for Christmas. Several years, hundreds of photo subjects, and a ton of photo equipment changes later, I’m still just as (if not more) in love with capturing images of people.

My Other Half

My best friend, father of my cats, and life partner is Mark! We’ve been together for over 6 years. In that time, I helped Mark discover his passion for photography and videography. He learned quickly and now often schools me on the latest photo techniques + technology.

Mark is my second shooter (and sometimes the videographer) for the vast majority of weddings and elopements that I take on. We started capturing weddings together about a year into our relationship and have since learned to become a well-oiled machine when it comes to making wedding days special, fun, and smooth sailing for all involved.

About my photography style:

I’m a very “go with the flow” kind of person + I love to incorporate that into my photo shoots. Photo shoots can be terrifying for anyone (I still freeze up when someone points a camera at me). But I’ve made it my mission to provide my clients with a relaxing and fun experience while still ensuring quality images that embrace who my subjects are at a certain point in their lives.

Photo shoots don’t have to be awkward or uncomfortable! During my sessions, I try my best to connect with my subjects on a more personal level so their photoshoots feel less like a photoshoot and more like we are just hanging out. Over the years, I’ve learned so many poses and prompts that I now feel super confident directing my subjects into poses and movements that feel natural and look flattering.

You do not have to be a supermodel or even super comfortable taking a selfie to shoot with me. All I ask is that you show up to your shoot with an open mind + we can create some images that can showcase you in a whole new light.
